Gap fees up to and including 5 April 2020 can be waived for families due to the impact of COVID-19, and can go back as far as 23 March 2020.
If you have children who attend an Early Child Care Provider, the cost of this will now be covered under this relief package. Note that priority will be given to working parents, vulnerable and disadvantaged children that need early education more than ever and parents with pre-existing enrolments.
The NSW Government have advised to re-enroll your children for those who have terminated their enrollment since 17 February 2020. Re-starting your enrollment doesn't require you to send your child to child care and will not result in a gap fee, however it does hold your place for that point in time when things start to normalise, and you are ready to take your child back to their centre.
