Emily Curnow

While Emily initially had an interest in art and history, she soon realised at university that she was equally drawn to the logic and problem-solving involved in accounting. She joined BLG in her second year of study and has grown with the firm ever since, building a career focused on helping business owners navigate their opportunities and challenges.

Now a Chartered Accountant, Emily enjoys partnering with clients, building genuine, long-term relationships and helping them achieve their personal and business goals. She understands that every client has their own ambitions and priorities, and she takes pride in providing practical advice and support to help them make informed decisions with confidence. Emily believes the best outcomes come from taking the time to understand each client’s unique circumstances, allowing her to provide tailored guidance and support that adds value beyond compliance. Whether it’s helping with taxation or broader business advisory, Emily strives to make complex matters straightforward and as stress-free as possible.

One of Emily’s favourite aspects of working at BLG is the people. She values the strong relationships she has built with both clients and colleagues and enjoys being part of a supportive team that works collaboratively to support clients and achieve positive results.

Outside of work, Emily is a busy mum of two who enjoys making the most of family adventures with her husband and children. Much of her spare time is spent shuttling between swimming lessons and playdates, while also enjoying long walks with her dogs, weekend barbecues, good company and creating lasting memories with family and friends. One of her favourite ways to unwind is baking sweet treats or spending time in the garden with her children, and whenever she gets the chance, she loves discovering new coffee and brunch spots or travelling to new destinations.v
