Yali Liu

Yali’s passion for learning, problem-solving and helping others naturally led her to a career in accounting. Originally from China, Yali completed her Bachelor’s degree before working for two years as a Business Analyst. She then moved to Australia to continue her studies, completing a Master’s degree that broadened her knowledge of Australian and international accounting and strengthened the analytical skills she brings to her work with clients today.

During her final semester at the University of Wollongong, Yali took the initiative to connect with local accounting firms and was excited to join BLG. What began as an opportunity to put her studies into practice has since grown into a rewarding career focused on working closely with clients and helping them achieve their goals.

In her work, Yali combines strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, client-focused approach. She enjoys getting to know her clients, understanding what matters most to them, identifying opportunities and providing advice that helps them make confident decisions. Her natural curiosity and commitment to continuous learning enable her to approach challenges thoughtfully and develop solutions that deliver genuine value.

For Yali, one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is seeing clients succeed and grow. Building trusted relationships and supporting clients through different stages of their journey is what makes her work particularly meaningful.

Outside of work, family is at the heart of Yali’s life. She enjoys spending time with her young son, husband and two much-loved dogs, and is always ready for an adventure. A keen traveller, Yali particularly enjoys family road trips. One of her most memorable adventures was a three-week road trip from Wollongong to Western Australia with her husband over Christmas 2024, covering around 10,000 kilometres and creating plenty of unforgettable family memories along the way.
