Keith Storey

At the age of 14, Keith realised that his first job being the ‘dish washer’ at large hospitality events was not the future he wanted for himself. Fast forward many years and his love of numbers as a kid led to Keith completing a Commerce degree, in Finance and Economics, at the University of Wollongong.

While he worked in Sydney for about 18 months following his graduation, Keith always had the goal to move back to Wollongong. When one of his friends made him aware of a job at BLG, he applied and has now been here for over 3 years.

Keith instils confidence in his clients, not only from his skill as a Chartered Accountant, but because he also takes an interest in their endeavours beyond numbers on a page. Whether that be their business, investment or something in between. Building relationships with clients that goes past emails is a BLG value that he believes in.

The commercial thinking and advisory side of business is what keeps Keith interested. He particularly enjoys helping clients, in a wide variety of industries and circumstances, resolve challenges that are outside of what is usually seen in a regular day’s work. As someone who has always valued learning from others, Keith also enjoys helping to develop and train junior team members.

Outside of BLG, Keith is usually spending time with his wife, arguing his opinion with friends, scoring over 100 on a round of golf or travelling down the coast to see family. He would also love to get over to America in the next couple of years after his previous trip was cancelled due to lockdown.
